Klapa Barun is the first family klapa in which eight brothers and one sister sing. It was founded on September 12, 2007, with the aim of nurturing original and composite klapa songs, folk music and spiritual music in general through participation in concerts, festivals, festivals and klapa encounters in Croatia and abroad. Also, the klapa performs on exhibitions, promotions, parties, weddings and similar events.

From 2007 to 2011, our bass player Trpimir was running. From the spring of 2011 to the autumn of 2013, the artistic leader of the klapa was mr. Sc. Damir Šumečki, after which the role of the artistic leader takes over Mr. art. Bojan Pogrmilović. Since the spring of 2018 until January 2020, the artistic leader of the Baroque was Andro Bojanić. Since Jan 2020 the artistic leader of the klapa Barun is maestro Dražen Kurilovčan.
In 2013, the klapa also founded its own mandolin composition in which three mandolin, guitar and double bass play our children.

Klapa Barun is the organizer of the "Klapa u Svetom Nedelju" and "Klapa u Ćunskom" klapa festival, sponsored by the City of Sveti Nedjel, the Tourist Board of the City of Sveti Nedjel, Zagreb County, Mali Losinj Tourist Board and the Mali Lošinj Tourist Board.
